To keep your Tree looking fresher for longer, follow these simple steps….

 

• Treat your tree like a plant – plants need water and so do Christmas Trees! Always keep the base of the tree in water – the best way to ensure this is by purchasing a specifically designed stand.

 

We can highly recommend Cinco Stands, which are available through Royal Borough Christmas Trees, and can be used with trees up to 12ft tall.

 

• Christmas trees “drink” up to 2 Litres of water a day, so KEEP YOUR TREE TOPPED UP WITH WATER! The more you let your tree dry out the more likely it is to drop its needles.

 

• Just before you set up your tree, cut about an inch from the base of the trunk – this will help the tree to absorb water more effectively.

 

• Leave your tree outside until you are ready to install it, and avoid exposing it to sudden/dramatic temperature changes.

 

• Keep your tree away from direct heat sources such as radiators and fireplaces, as they will dry out your tree very rapidly.

 

• Did we mention that you should KEEP YOUR TREE WATERED?!
